Chicago Marathon 2009
Friday and last weekend we spent in Chicago. Our weekend program was various, but for Sunday we had the only one big event: , sponsored by Bank of America. Of course we didn’t participate in this long run. But instead we were among spectators, and had nice time cheering up runners, drinking beer and having fun despite very cold autumn weather. I want to share few Marathon pictures here.

Finish line.
(click on a photo to see the full size picture, previews colors are horrible!)
The finish process wasn’t so quick, runners were reaching the finish line starting from 9:30AM and up till 1:30PM. But what do you want? There were above 40 000 of runners, this is impressive, only the start process took more than half of hour!
The winners are S. Wanjiru (2:05:41) and L. Shobukhova (2:25:56). Imagine running the distance 42 kilometres (26 mi) in 2 hours! Crazy!
Chicago Downtown, Marathon reached this street about a hour ago and now it looks like after a war
Ears reached finish too
After finish.
Tired? No, happy!!!
